This year, most of us have been focused on taking precautions to stay healthy. And that should include being prepared for the approaching flu season.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that almost everyone get a flu vaccine every year. To help, free flu shots are available to you and your dependents.

Where to get your shot

  • Anthem members: Use your CVS prescription card to get a flu shot at any of 62,000 participating pharmacies in the CVS Caremark network. Call ahead to find out your pharmacy’s minimum age for kids’ shots.
  • Kaiser members: Get a flu shot at any Kaiser flu shot clinic; visit for locations and times.
  • Not covered? Email the Benefits Help Desk, and request a flu shot voucher for yourself and your dependents age 18 and older. Take it to a pharmacy in the CVS Caremark network for your no-cost vaccine.
